Ultracomfort Polaris UC559-MED Medium Size Zero Gravity Lift Chair Recliner

This 2-motor chair is quite comfortable and very versatile in the virtually infinite seating positions achievable. With the two motors one can adjust both the back of the chair and leg rest independently of each other where this is not possible with a one-motor chair. I got the "Bourbon" finish, which is a darker brown finish in a material that is similar to a micro-suede which I prefer to the cloth finish of some of the other fabrics used with other finishes (e.g. the Granite finish). I also appreciate the fact that you can position the chair in the Trendelenburg position which places your feet slightly higher than your heart. This is useful for me in that I experience edema (swelling) in my left foot and ankle. Positioning the chair in this position for a period of time alleviates the swelling to a degree -- the longer the period of time in this position, the more noticeable the results. I have the UC559-MED (medium) model which fits me well at 5ft, 7in, 250 pounds. The lumbar support is a little lacking but still comfortable and a lumbar pillow should do the trick (- I haven't tried that yet). I also appreciate the battery pack which would be useful in the event of a power outage though the two 9-volt batteries (not included) are only meant for one use in the event of an emergency to return the chair to an upright position. I've had the chair for nearly a month and have no complaints. UltraComfort seems to be a reputable company and a quality manufacturer with integrity, and they back their products with a solid warranty. I bought my chair through LiftandMassageChairs.com and had a great experience with them. My only qualm is that they do not update their online inventory often so I would suggest calling them to see what their current inventory is.... I found they actually had MORE inventory than was indicated on their website. Good chair, good vendor, great choice!
